An inquest into the deaths of Phil Spencer’s aged parents has revealed that their car was submerged in river water for as much as 20 minutes after falling from a bridge.

The mom and father of the Location, Location, Location co-host died in August after their automobile toppled off of a bridge on their Kent farm and into the Nailbourne river.

Although emergency companies spent 90 minutes on the scene attempting to revive them, each Richard, 89, and Anne, 82, have been later pronounced lifeless.

On Monday (20 November), coroner Sarah Clarke shared extra particulars about their deaths, confirming that Anne died of a lung an infection and a lack of oxygen to the mind.

She defined that Anne was driving the automobile along with her husband within the passenger seat, whereas their full-time live-in carer was within the again.

After the automobile went down a non-public lane from the Spencers’ property, it tipped over the sting of a bridge.

“It struck the underside of the river and overturned,” the coroner defined.

The trio have been submerged in round three toes of water however their carer managed to flee from the automobile by a window.

Anne Spencer was pronounced lifeless at 9.55pm.

Ms Clarke confirmed Mrs Spencer’s medical reason behind demise as aspiration pneumonia, hypoxic-ischaemic mind damage and close to drowning.

Hypoxic-ischemic mind damage is attributable to an absence of oxygen to the mind, whereas aspiration pneumonia is an an infection of the lungs attributable to inhaling meals or liquid.
